Disney Toy Story 3 Lego Sets

The long awaited Disney’s Toy Story 3 will premiere on the big screen in June of this year. Disney is celebrating with a new line of toys, including several new Lego sets.

Lego’s first Toy Story-inspired toy line features a really cool assortment of construction play sets and figures featuring classic and new Toy Story characters.

First up LEGO Toy Story Woody’s Round Up. Kids can have a Wild West adventure with Woody and his pals!
Help Sheriff Woody and his trusty horse Bullseye cross the desert to rescue Jessie from a gold mine filled with dynamite. But watch out! Stinky Pete is breaking out of jail to rob the town safe! Can Woody’s boardwalk catapult trap help save the day? The set includes Woody, Jessie, Bullseye and Stinky Pete the Prospector mini-figures.

Next up check out the new Lego Toy Story: Construct a Buzz. Kid’s can blast off for interstellar adventures with a buildable, poseable Buzz Lightyear! Build him and Buzz is ready to battle the Evil Emperor Zurg with the help of his winged jetpack, closable visor and arm-mounted, flick-launching laser cannon. He also comes with a little green alien friend mini figure!

The LEGO Toy Story Buzz’s Star Command Ship lets kids use their imagination to rocket through space with Buzz Lightyear of Star Command! Buzz Lightyear is there in his faster-than-light Star Command spaceship to save the galaxy from evil and to battle the sinister schemes of Evil Emperor Zurg in outer space. They can also land and deploy the secret moon buggy for special planetary missions! The set includes Buzz Lightyear and Evil Emperor Zurg mini-figures.

The LEGO Toy Story Woody and Buzz Rescue set lets your kids help Woody and Buzz are race to catch up with Andy’s moving van! Pull back on their car friend RC and release to make him zoom into action at top speed with the Toy Story heroes aboard. Not fast enough? Grab onto Buzz’s rocket and take to the air! The set includes Woody, Buzz Lightyear with rocket, and buildable RC with pull-back motor.

5 Easter Toy Ideas For Girls

I wrote up some Easter Toy Ideas for boys, but didn’t write up any for girls! We can’t have that, so here are a few toy ideas for the little girl on your Easter list.

1. Barbie in a Mermaid Tale just premiered on DVD last week, and it would make the perfect Easter basket filler for any Barbie fan! Barbie stars as Merliah™ a surf champion who finds out she’s also a mermaid.

2. If you have a Hello Kitty fan on the list, check out this Ty Hello Kitty Bunnie Beanie Baby. Isn’t she just adorable!

Zhu Zhu Pets Babies

Have you seen the new Zhu Zhu Pets Babies? They’re adorable. The babies don’t require a battery, but they do require that you have a regular Zhu Zhu pet if you want them to move, they need to be nudged. All of the babies come with their own accessories.
The new Zhu Zhu Babies would be perfect for Easter baskets, or birthday gifts.

The baby Zhu Zhu’s include Butter Cheeks a little yellow hamster with a pink diaper, a rattle, and a bottle for feeding time.

Baby Cakes is a light gray hamster baby with a white diaper, a hair brush and a mirror.

5 Easter Toy Ideas For Boys

It always seems like when I go Easter shopping for my son there are plenty of fluffy pink plush animals, but there’s just not that much out there for boys. I really don’t like to fill his basket with candy, we don’t need a sugar overload. I have found a few toys that are always a hit with my son.

Here are just a few Easter toy ideas I have for boys:

1. Bakugan Toys are always a big hit, and they have price points from under $10, and up, which makes them a perfect Easter basket fill in.

2. Matchbox Cars are another popular choice, and they range in price from a little over $1 for the single car packs, to higher price points for sets, racetracks and carriers. The great thing about Matchbox cars is you don’t have to have them all at once, you can build a set over time.

3. I love this Tonka Dump Truck Plush Basket, you can fill it with all his favorite Tonka toys!

4. Toy Story 3’s hitting theaters this summer. Boys would love to wake up to a new Toy Story 3 Lego set in their Easter basket.

5. How to Train Your Dragon is hitting theaters in a few days, I’m sure it will be super popular with boys everywhere to find a How To Train Your Dragon Plush Toy in their Easter baskets.

Think about what the little boy on your Easter list is interested in then find the perfect toy to suit his interests.

Melissa and Doug Baby Building Blocks

My son absolutely loved to build towers and then turn around and knock them down when he was a baby. When he knocked the tower down he would laugh his head off, then he’d want me to help him build it again two seconds later. He started with baby building blocks when he was barely a year old, and kept going from there. Some of my favorites are the Melissa and Doug building blocks.

Lego Video Game Guide

Lego Video Games are a kids favorite, and they’ll top many children’s wish lists this Christmas, so I thought I’d put together a Lego Video Games guide. Here are some of the most popular Lego video games.

Lego Rock Band just hit the stores November 3rd, and is available for the Wii, Nintendo DS, xBox360, and Playstation 3. Kids can personalize their own LEGO Rock Den, and decorate it to suit their own rock style.
